max.tan - fashion label from singapore
Today I had the chance to meet the designer from max.tan and his team @ THE EDGED @ the showroom days in Berlin. The collections of max.tan are quite amazing with incredible cuts.
The concept of the BLANK FRAMES 2 is "Creating unlimited possibilities and ideas bounded by a limited four-sided form."
All Cuts of the collection are based on 4 or 3 edged frames.
Sounds simple? But not at all, the garments are all quite complicated in their own character. The materials are high quality and have a fantastic touch on the skin. The collections remind of a clean, explicit and extraordinary asian design which always gives room for the spirit of the person who wears it. The clothing of max.tan also modulate to the body of the wearer.
We are quite impressed by the clothing of max.tan and we are hoping that soon the designs of max.tan will also be available in German's fashion capital.
Berlin is missing a label like this!

THE EGED Showroom 2012
THE EDGED participates this year for the third time @ Berlin Fashion Week. And in 2012 the shoowroom is supported by fiermanagement.
Since we've seen the showroom in january 2011 it is always a pleasure to stop by @ THE EDGED. This year it is located in the Lackfarben Galerie in Berlin-Mitte.
In this showroom you can mostly find some incredible art of young fashion designers from all over the globe. Also this year. We were impressed by all of them but ZILLMANN BERLIN, TataChristiane, max.tan and Isabel Vollrath were some special eye-catcher for us.
We are excited to see THE EDGED again in Berlin in summer 2012.

Today the weather in Berlin is just terrible. It is raining all day and it seemed like it never got bright today.

The Berlin's weather of today is just terrible. Only Rain and darkness!
But a perfect weather for the lightning shop window of HUGO BOSS in Berlin Mitte. The shine of the red lights jumps right in to your eyes and it is not possible to walk by without looking at it.

fashion porn @ Berlin Fashion Week
The bloggers from dandydiary.de released yesterday their first movie in a sex shop in Kreuzberg/ Berlin.
Será el comienzo - der vielleicht erste Fashion-Porno der Welt "is maybe the first fashion porn ever". Garments are playing the leading part in this movie and instead of putting the clothes off the actors putting them on. They show pieces from Esther Perbandt, Michael Kors, Christian Dior, Yohji Yamamoto, Martin Margiela
It's new and different. Nice start in the Berlin Fashion Week 2012.

Bryan Oknyansky is a architect from L.A. / USA and based in London/ UK.
We already had a chance to meet him at (capsule) Paris last October. He is a interesting architect who now tries to combine his know-how of architecture with the female shoe world. And he is quite good at this.
His collection Heavy Metal Series is for sure a eye-catcher. The high-heels are breath-taking and were designed in collaboration with the fashion-designer Kim Berit Heppelmann for her line KOMMENT.02.
The shoes are handmade and from high quality materials.
